Here at SLEEK, we constantly seek ways to interact with our clients and explore their interests. The products and procedures we provide help them to realize the body image of their dreams — and we want to know their stories.
That’s why we participated in “Catwalk for a Cure,” a pink-themed fashion show to raise money for breast cancer research and education. The event united Boston designers and students, and melded their talents to produce a stunning display of art and fashion. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they contributed pink evening and cocktails dresses to be showcased on the catwalk.
But this wasn’t your typical fashion show.
Models represented a diverse array of interests, including medical professionals, traveling models, local amateur talent and — most notably – breast cancer survivors. By strutting down that catwalk, survivors showcased more than the designers’ work. Their confidence demonstrated hope and perseverance, which touched and united everyone in attendance.
250 guests were awarded with exclusive gift bags, containing SLEEK gift certificates and sample products, among other things. Those in attendance also had a chance to win SleekSkin product kits during a silent auction. We were proud to play a role in such a fun and uplifting event!
