All About Injectables

With so many different types of injectables and fillers out there, it can be hard for someone to identify which injectable or filler is best for them. From hyaluronic acid, collagen fillers, to semi permanent fillers, each type comes with different benefits depending on what an individuals goals are. At SLEEK Surgical & MedSpa we offer a variety of solutions that you and one of our treatment consultants can choose from. Here is a crash course on injectables and fillers.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

This type of filler is placed in the actual wrinkle or other areas that need volume and offer instant results. They can be used in many ways to address your individual concerns, whether you’re looking to augment your chin without surgery, fill in marionette lines, lift up jowls or plump up volume along the jaw line where definition has been lost. Juvederm offers a great solution to those looking to increase lost volume in their lips and laugh lines. These results can last from 6 months to a year depending on where it was placed.

Semi Permanent Fillers
This type of filler is good for the lines between the brows, under the eyes, the nose, lips, crow’s-feet, lines around the mouth, and nasolabial folds. One type of this filler that SLEEK offers is called, Radiesse. Radiesse stimulates the collagen production in the body which will naturally increase the volume around the injection site. These results may last a year or more.

Collagen Stimulators
Sculptra is an example of a collagen stimulator. This type of injectable is used on larger areas to improve loss of volume such as the cheeks. Most patients require an average of two to three treatments spaced three to four weeks apart for optimal results. Results can last from 18 to 24 months.
